Infoview reports fails due to session time out

Hi All,

I have done a search on the forum, and tried many options didn’t help, so posting this question.

I am using Business Objects 6.5, with IIS as web server & windows 2003 Enterprise edition as OS.If I run the full client reports at Infoview exactly after 15 mins, I get a error “The Web service is unavailable” and the report fails.

the actions that I have already taken are

  1. At “inetmgr” I have checked properties of “wiasp” folder which tells session timeout =120 mins.
  2. In the admin console the following properties have been modified

BOManager - Time out for interactive action = 45 mins ( Default, Untouched)
WIQT - Max Active time =4800 seconds ( previously 3000 seconds)
WISession Manager- Session Time out = 5400 ( previously 3600 seconds)

But after doing all these No use :nonod: Can somebody help me on this.

Hi,

The soultion is very simple. The machine in which i was running was working the proxy server which was stopping the internet connection after 15 mins. so please be aware of the proxy settings.

hey Rajesh,

What did you exactly modify on the server in order to bypass the “Service Unavailable” error.

I turned off the proxy settings completely via the IE window under Lan settings.
