Information Steward integration to Sharepoint

Hi,

Is there a way we can integrate IS to MS Sharepoint?

I found an Installation Guide in SAP site titled, “SAP BusinessObjects Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint software”, will this guide allow me to integrate IS to Sharepoint.

I have read it, but I’m not sure since I don’t see any word of “Information Steward” mentioned in that guide.

please advise.

-Thanks-

Can you explain “how” or “what” you want to integrate to MS Sharepoint?

We are trying to see if its possible to allow users to access the IS scorecard/reports from sharepoint, rather than requiring users to log into an SAP portal or CMC to view the scorecard/reports.

Is it possible?

Yes, with SAP Information Steward 4.1 we ahve added the capability to expose the DQ Scorecard (Overview and Details) via an URL.
Means that every application that can visualize a URL (and be able to visualize the Adobe Flex) is able to embedd the DQ Scorecard.

If you use Single Sign On authentification and the user is having a IS User, they will not have to log on separately. If no SSO available, the users will first see logon screen within the application that embedds the scorecard.

SAP Information Steward 4.1 is currently in Ramp-up.

Im sorry im new to this.

Does it mean I can integrate it with MS sharepoint?
Is the installation option i have mentioned(SAP BusinessObjects Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint software) will help me do that?

-Thanks-

Or what guide should I read to make that happen?

“SAP BusinessObjects Integration Option for Microsoft SharePoint software” is a totally different product and has nothing to do with SAP Information Steward.

SAP Information Steward is not “another reporting client” of the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise or SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform. It is part of our Enterprise Information Management portfolio.

You can find the SAP Informatoin Steward Manuals on the SAP Help Portal (http://help.sap.com/bois)

SAP Information Steward 4.1 User Guide:

2.20 Scorecard links
Each scorecard has a unique URL link which allows other users to easily view the scorecard. This link can be embedded into SAP Enterprise Portal, BI Launchpad, or a web page. You can also copy the link text and paste it into an email, a text document, or any other location that can be accessed by others.

You have to participate in SAP Information Steward 4.1 Ramp-Up to get access to this functionality.
Get in touch with your SAP Account Executive or SAP Sales team to be nominated for SPA Information Steward 4.1 Ramp-Up.

Hello Guys,

I know this post is dated but, could someone let me know if anyone has published the IS scorecard at MS Sharepoint.

Currently we are at IS4.1 and would like to publish the scorecard on MS Sharepoint from where, user can view the scorecard without begin prompted to logon.

I have gone through IS admin guide but couldnt find anything in this regard.

Any pointers on this topic is appreciated.

Thanks

You can find Product Management response on the SAP Community Network:

Hi Chakradhar,

You will need to setup authentication mechanism such as LDAP or Windows AD for the Sharepoint users so that there is no logon prompt. Please refer BOE and IS Admin Guides for details.
