Hi,

I am new to Business Objects, Give me some ways to find the all related/dependent objects in Universe Designer based on table field name(database field name).

Thanks in advance

You can select a table, right click and select associated objects which will then display in the classes pane, is this what you require?

The mentioend one is giving all associated objects for entire table.
but here i need to find the all related objects with respect to the one database table field.

Thanks,
nmt.

No that can’t be done using the method described.

You could try Find the table column name and then Find Next and keep on Find Next until you’re back at the start again.

Use the wonderful universe documentation tool in the downloads section on this site. This will dump everything into an excel file. Then you can use excel’s search facility.

Nnix, I’m usure, but from memory can you not click the field in the table and right click to view the associated object?

I think Debbies suggestion will be the most useful to you, however…
