Index creation failing

We’re new to Explorer. I’ve successfully created an infospace for two months of historical data, when I try to increase it to three months, I start getting errors. Sometimes I get

The Web Intelligence server memory is full. Please log off and try to connect later. If the problem persists, contact your Business Objects administrator. (WIS 30280))

and sometimes

Index Creation Failed (An error occurred when accessing the cached file. (Error: RWI 00238)-There is not enough space on the disk)

I’m not the server admin, I’m the universe designer and Explorer guinea pig.

Are there any guidelines or heuristics out there for appropriately sizing/configuring the servers/services?

What operating system are you running on?

This might be obvious…but sounds like you may not have enough hard disk space for your indexing. Have you looked into this also?

According to my infrastructure person, the Explorer Indexing drive has 365 GB of available space (Used space 44.3 GB) and the eariler disk space error is misleading. :?
