When selecting a “Personal Data File” as the source for a data provider, the following error is given:
ERROR:CDaoException
SCODE_CODE=340 SCODE_FACILITY=4 SCODE_SEVERITY=1 ResultFromScode=2147746132
This error is encountered when selecting .xls, .txt, and .dbf type files.
I am using Business Objects v4.1.5 on NT v4.0 SP3.

We saw this error about a year ago. The problem seemed to be with 2 files: VEN2232.OLB and VBAJET32.DLL in the WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory. Make sure you have the latest versions available.
