I ve question regarding reports scheduling about a BOXI R2 SP4 platform
=> I would like to know if with Import Wizard it’s possible to retrieve also, in addition of reports and instances associated, the scheduling settings/rule of reports.
We have a data migration from a BO XI R2 system to another BO XIR2 system and for several reasons we would like to perform content data repository with BIAR file (instead of to use the option in the CCM @the level of CMS server Option "Copy data from another Data source; or by using CMS+FRS copy method)
And also our source BO repository contains a lot of scheduling reports.

A lot of this depends on how may reports/schedules/instances you have and how big they are. In general, you’ll want to break down the reports into “batches” based on the folder where they’re located. You’ll do this because there are limitations in the physical size of the .biar file. I don’t remember whether XIr2 would automatically split .biar files like newer versions will, but you’ll still want to split them into smaller sets in order to prevent corruption of the files.
It’s really much more reliable to use the CCM to do this migration if you can.
Regarding size biar limitation, correct yes I know on BO XI R2 it’s more limited than more recent version like BOXI R3 for ex (on R3 BO system splits content repository on several biar file ~500 mb size…)
on R2, I think 40-50 Mb max if more risk of failed biar generation
I don’t know volumetry & size of instances generated; Currently I know only global volumetry of PROD repository (5000 objects, FRS: 12 Gb)
Yes with BIAR method, it’s planned we will manage several lot of objects, and also several biar file
Just consider 1 report having a scheduling part (ex: Periodic, daily refresh @6:00 am CET and sending automatic by email with pdf format to end users inbox mail) and having for ex 12 instances associated low size:
==> IF we perform a biar only of this report, do you know if the scheduling settings will be really included in the biar and also migrated in destination BO system, and also no need to rebuild manually rule of scheduling of the report?
I ve done a quick test yesterday by remote with the owner of XI R2 Platform (on my side i ve not a LAB machine XI R2 to test) => it’s ok by selecting the report & instance it keeps also the rule settings scheduling.
