We are testing BO 5.02 under nt. I can import and export a universe from my workstation to the repository without problems. When a job is submitted using this universe to BCA, the error “you must close this universe before importing” is encountered. I can sign in under supervisor on the server (configured as Enterprise) and attempt an import. The same error is encountered. Any ideas?

We sometimes get that with 5.01 - on the users NT workstation. What I do is delete the universe on the workstation. This then allows BO to import the universe from the repository. You can probably do the same on BCA.

I had something similar, but in my case BOMGR had the file locked (for like a day), and I eventually had to stop and start it to delete the ‘bad’ universe…
Some kind of tangle up between BCA and a full client refresh seemed to start the whole mess - got the message about closing the universe before importing it and then this…
