IDOC creation using duplicate segments WITH DS 3.2

Hi,

I’m trying to create a configurable material using MATMAS05. In R/3 IDOC has few duplicate segments like E1MARDM , E1MKALM , E1CUVAL, etc…

How to map these duplicate segments from input file.

I tried creating new output schema with the same segment name; it says same name exists…if we give different name, the IDOC structure will not match…

How to achieve this …can someone please help on this…

Hi,

How to Load Material Class and Characteristic Data into SAP using legacy data from flatfile.

I tried to load using MATMAS05 IDOC but duplicate segments option is not there to map multiple characteristsics with values.

Can any one suggest me the steps to do this.

Hi Werner ,

I’m waiting for your inputs to create a configurable material in SAP using DS 3.2.

As I explained in my previous post, is there away to pass multiple VC to match with my IDOC structure attached.

Please provide some details…we are in the process of load conversion data into SAP using Data Services.

Appreciate any inputs.

Can you do me a favor out attach a screenshot of the imported IDOC as seen from the DS Designer? I failed to import an IDOC as I have no test system at hand that contains that (and then forgot).

Here is the MATMAS05 structure from my DF design.

I would wait for your response as I tried all the ways to achive this duplicate segment addition to pass multiple VC values.

I might have an idea where the misunderstanding comes from. The IDOC screen of SAP does not show that you have a structure with multiple times the same schema, all it wants to say is that there are multiple rows containing this schema.

How many rows you want in each schema of a nested structure is controlled by the from/where clause of each. But you tried to create multiple fields of same name, did you?

Thanks for the response.

When I create a configurable material using BD10, attached structure of the IDOC generates to populate all the VC values.

Same thing I’m trying to achieve using DS, by taking the same config data in a flat file and trying to map to MATMAS05 IDOC, but I could not create multiple segments of E1MARDM, E1CUCFG, E1CUVAL, etc…

Please suggest how I need to do this using nested logic.
