I am installing SAP Business Objects BI 4.0 Platform

Hi Team

I am installing following tools in Windows 7 and 64 bit.

BIPLATCLNT4103_0-20009642.EXE BI

While install getting error like “BI platform client 4.0 installed Failed”.

PLease find the attachment.

fyi… this is the webi platform, not the DI platform…

it looks like you are attempting to install using the update application vs the full installer… the update application requires that an older version of the software already be on this machine…

under the sap portal, try the other installations and upgrades section vs the packages and patches section.

I have to install Webi Universe Tool. So What i have to do.

The following tools needs to be installed for Webi.

  1. BIPLATCLNT4103_0-20009642.EXE
  2. BIPLATCLNT4103P_2-20009642.EXE

Please give me suggestion.

BIPLATCLNT4103_0-20009642.EXE is an update for an existing installation (SBOP BI Platform Clients 4.1 SP03 - Update), not a full installation. You need to download the full installation file for SP3 (SBOP BI PLATFORM 4.1 SP03 CLIENT TOOLS WINDOWS (32B)) and install it instead. Then you can apply the patch.
