I am currently trying to run AF using Apache/Tomcat, but when I click on the logon to Webi, I receive the following error message:
HTTP Status 503

message)
description) The requested service () is not currently available.
Apache Tomcat/4.1.29
I believe it may have something to do with my configuration, but I cannot seem to get my fingers on it. I’ve run out of ideas , any help would be greatly appreciated!
This probably isn’t a resolution that most people would want to hear (for future folks), but I had to uninstall WebI & AF (be sure to delete the instances from the Configuration Tool first) and then re-install both WebI and AF. This eliminated the error message.
This seems like a generic error of sorts. We got this same error after spending a few days reconfiguring the server attempting to get around some connectivity problems from the 6.5 upgrade.
In trying to avoid re-installing the whole thing, we brought down all of the services on the box (Apache/Tomcat/BO) and went into the BO Configuration Tool, went into the WebI configuration and just re-saved everything as it already was (no changes).
Just an FYI that this might work in some cases. If it doesn’t, then you’ll probably have to re-install as indy did. It’s worth the try.
