You can’t do that, Tim, anymore than you could retain the drill features if you saved the document to Rich Text Format (RTF).
The best you could do (and it is still far, far from what you want) would be to create a Master-Detail report with all of the levels of all of your hierarchies already expanded. Then when you save to HTML use the Both option under Generate HTML (“All in one page” and “Section by section”). Make sure Use Frame is checked on, too.
One would think that WebIntelligence would have that feature, but the last time I looked (v1.0) it didn’t. Has anybody here heard otherwise?
As the product marketing manager for WebIntelligence, I’d like to mention that since WebIntelligence 2.0 is a future product that has not yet been officially announced or launched (i.e. there’s been no press release), we have a policy of only communicating its features under a non-disclosure agreement (this is fairly standard for companies in this space).
While this policy may not have been strictly applied, and some information may have leaked out, we hope that you appreciate that we’d prefer if information was not disseminated on this list, if possible – we are obviously keen to communicate with our customers, but less so with any competitors, etc. who may have access to this public list server.
Obviously, if you have questions about WebIntelligence 2.0, or want to give feedback on this policy, please don’t hesitate to contact me, or your local Business Objects contact.
