How to use outer join instead of table comparison? Both tables are on the same server/database.

Or you could just do a lookup. It depends on how much data you are pulling out of the other table, as the post from Sameer81 says. If you are asking how to do an outer join in DI, it is in one of the tabs within the query transform.
