How to turn off the trace??

Hello every one,

I turned on the Trace by copying the file BO_trace.ini file from <install_dir>/bin/scripts/preconf to <install_dir>/nodes///logs. It generated the trace logs automatically.

As per the BO Tech Support i removed the BO_trace.ini file from the …/logs directory. However it seems that the trace.logs are still being generated. How do i turn it off?? -especially when the BO_trace.ini file has already been removed from the …/logs directory?

Please Help

Hi Edyl,

I recommend you to check the following taht may help you:-

  1. In CMC, go to Servers–>Connection Server–> Properties tab
Uncheck the option- ENABLE SQL Trace (if this applies to you)
  2. Make sure of the same action by checking Metrics tab of connection server. You should see the following:-
    Enable SQL Trace: No

Hi Madhuri, thanks for the response and I believe that must be true for XI.

However we are on BO 6.5.1.

How do we turn off the Trace in BO 6.5x when you have already deleted the BO_trace.ini file from the <install_dir>/nodes///logs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Using
BO 6.5.1
Solaris 9

Thanks in advance

Hi !
I think you just have to stop your servers and start them again !
