how to set permission rights on public folder

Hi
my aim to let the user to view nothing on their view(document list) and only selected public folder.

Example

PUBLIC FOLDER
-folder 1
-folder 2
-folder 3 (not to be seen by user)

I create a view permission for user to PUBLIC FOLDER root…and i notice all rights are propagated down to the child.
How to stop the inheritance other than manually removing them at the child folder manually?

If you run Xir2 the best way is to set a No Access at top level folder for the Everor group.

Then you could open the subfolder based on groups needs.

hi,

i am using boxir3…when i set at the sub folder level…it doesnt work.it only work when i set it at root level…

any idea why is that so?is there a difference between XIR2 and Xir3 permission setting?
