I have a cross tab report, which I am viewing in page layout mode. Now the number of columns are large enough to span the report horizontally to multiple pages. I want the cross tab row header to be repeated on every page.
It’s possible to have a header repeated on pages that span vertically by checking repeat header on every page option. But how to do it in case of pages spanning horizontally ?
please clarify what headers you have in your crosstab.
In the case of normal crosstab the headers of columns are the values of the particular dimension. And these are displayed allways, doesn’t matter on how many pages the table lies across horizontally.
Maybe you have any breaks across edge?
So I am not sure what problem with the headers you have. Please describe.
By “row header” I mean the first column in the cross tab report, since it qualifies the data contained within each rows. You are saying about the column headers, which will appear on the second page.
In the Format Crosstab options, Page Layout tab there is Page Break Across group of options on the lower right side of the window. Select “Repeat header on every page” there.
As I had mentioned, “Repeat header on every page” works on pages that span vertically, that is in case of number of rows being large. But it does not work in case where pages that span horizontally, that is in case of number of columns being large.
In Page Layout tab of the Crosstab format you have two “Repeat header on every page” options. One is in the Page Break Down group of options and one is in the Page Break Across group of options. You are talking about the fist one but the later one is that you need to switch on.
