How to remove page breaks in crosstab?

Hi,

How can we remove page breaks in crosstab, when i export crosstab report into excel(XLS) (not excel dataonly) i’m getting some extra rows where there are page breaks, Even if i deselect the page breaks option .

Is there any way to remove extra rows in excel XLS)?

Thanks in advance!

Try removing the check on the option for Keep Columns Together in Cross-Tab Expert’s Customize Style tab.

That should have gotten rid of the extra spaces due to the page breaks. You might be seeing extra column also from using Show Cell Margins. Try turning that off. Also, turn off the Repeat Row Labels if that is on.

I find that going into the Page Setup and selecting No Printer helps for a lot of issues as well.

Thanks for the reply back.

I tried all options but no luck!

I guess this is because of column lables horizontal lines, if we remove those from all pages except in first page then we should be good.

I’m getting extra rows where there are page breaks only in microsoft excel(XLS) but it is good in excel data only.

But my user wants to export into excel(XLS).

Sorry meher,

For some reason I was thinking Columns. I don’t know of any way to remove the duplication of the Column headings on each page break. Everything I posted was for when the cross-tab grows too much lengthwise and you get page breaks.

Can you pivot the cross-tab? You would then be able to take advantage of the suggestions mentioned earlier. Well, as long as the other grouping doesn’t cross multiple pages too.

I see this topic is well out of date, and I’m struggling to get rid of the repetition of the top columns of my cross-tab, but only when exporting to Excel. As PDF, I’d like to maintain the header columns of the cross-tab, excel, I don’t even want the report nor cross-tab to consider a page-break when exported. Is this possible?

Ok, I have found a solution to this very old topic, but it may help others.

If you are only exporting the report, you can go into Page Setup, under Page Options, choose ‘User Defined’ and just make the vertical long enough that it won’t have any page breaks.
