No matter how it was pronounced in the past it is now known as BEER! (this is how SAP Business Objects employees seem to pronounce it)
A small BIAR (Business Intelligence ARchive) can also be referred to as a can, bottle or glass of beer.
A slightly larger BIAR can be referred to as as a 6-pack, 12-pack, or 24-pack of beer, depending on the number of files archived within it.
A large BIAR can be referred to as a barrel of beer.
A very large BIAR can be referred to as a beer truck.
The server where you generate your BIAR from is referred to as the brewery. If the BIAR is generated on a small PC, it is a micro-brewery.
I think too much about BIAR files!

I like that!
So what happens when you have too many BIARs in your system?
joepeters (BOB member since 2002-08-29)
The system is drunk. Don’t rely on what it says.

It is ok if it is not driving. Otherwise, we might get Deriving Warehouse-data Incorrectly. Ha ha.

If lucky, it’ll find a couch to crash on … and when it is up again, everyone will have a major hang over.

I pronounce it Bi-are, which rhymes with Liar.

The story I heard is that the guys who were working on it late at night decided they were “beer” files!
