How to know whether BO is running on NT or UNIX ?

Hi,

How do I know whether business objects is running on NT or UNIX in an enterpise environment ?

As a user, you don’t.

The website that Infoview runs from will be the name of the server. Someone should be able to tell you whether the server is UNIX or not.
