This is an awfully vague question. What kind of reports – i.e., which reporting tool are you using? For what version? Do you have lots of variables and tabs? How many data providers are you using? How many rows of data are you returning – are you SUMming measures, and have you taken advantage of summary tables and Aggregate Awareness?
But, even though you don’t want to hear it – the biggest determinant of report performance is a good data model and good database tuning. Most of the delay in running a report is waiting for the data.
And if your data model is good, and you’ve got great indexes and snappy response time on your actual SQL queries, then you’ll have to provide more specifics before anyone can give you more specific advice.
