I am running XIR2 but I am not sure if it is SP2 or SP4. I am running it on windows and also on Solaris. How can I tell which SP version I am running? Thanks.

Let me start with a disclaimer - I’m a developer and we have no one with any formal training on the admin side.
We are running 3 instances of BO - dev, tst and prd. We are currently experiencing problems with reports developed in dev not working in tst or sometimes work in tst but not in prd. I suspect a possible problem might be that BO was installed differently on the 3 systems.
