Being in transition between Business Objects versions, we need a formula to determine which version the report is beinig run under. Is there a way to do that? Could be based on version number, name of machine installed on, anything distinct.

make a universe template, and in it create an object with the version information. Since a new serivce pack comes out once or twice a year, you would only have to update that object in universe whenever you upgrade & then all the reports using that template would upgrade as well.
