I have upgraded one report with universe which has developed in crystal report 2008 and BO 3.1 to BO 4.0 and the universe is converted to unx format .In BO 4.0 server i want to connect the existing report to new universe ( unx ) through SAP Crystal report for enterprise .
In crystal report 2008 having one option for change universe , but SAP Crystal report for enterprise there is no option for change universe . I tried to map the Result object fields to target data source (unx ) ,but the error will come “crystal report has encountered unexpected error and needs to close”.
I couldn’t see the Query Filter mapping in SAP Crystal report for enterprise.
Please help me to change universe for without modifying the report in SAP Crystal report for enterprise .I don’t need to do any changes any where in reports.
I havent tried this, but want to share you some inputs.
I see Crystal Reports 2011 as the compatible tool to run older reports and universes after migration. If at all Crystal Reports for Enterprise is used to open an old report, it should give a wizard to point the report to new Common Semantic layer. Please let me know why did you choose to go for CRFE instead of CR 2011.
I tried to change universe using CR 2011 ,but i am getting an warning message ‘Logon Failed’ ,so that am not able to update the existing query using new universe .
