How to change the size of the bar in Bar chart

Hi Experts

My question may be simple but I am not getting.

I want to change the size of the Bar in Bar Chart. Now it is showing very thin I want to increase the size. Please tell me the procedure for this.

I checked in Properties window but I couldn’t get.

I am using Crystal Xcelsius 2008 version.

Thanks in advance

Not used Xcelsius 2008, but it should be in the Appearance tab within the properties of an object. Click on Series and you can change the bar width.

hope this helps

Hi Sharma

Its working fine thanks a lot.

I have one more doubt, In my project we created a dash board with 4 XML connections.

For Eg: I am suing State Vs. Product. In this I am keeping all the state names in List Box and I am selecting in List Box based on our selection the chart is displaying…

Here the client needs to select mutliple Selections in ListBox and based on our selection the chart should display.

Your help is more appreciate.

regards
Rajani

Use the List Builder instead of the List box for multiple selections.

Hi

Here in my Dash Board we are using 4 charts. There is no chance to use List Builder.
The main Disadvantage is wiht the List Builder is we need to select the destination for each and every series.

I nmy project for Eg: State Vs. Product, these states are dynamic they will increase after some time that time how is it possible to add the series to the perticular chart?

Please let me know if there is any way to do this with the list box.

Thanks in advance
Rajani

Hi Rajani,
As far as i know, ‘list builder’ is the only component in xcelsius that enables multiple selection.

If using list builder is not an option, maybe you can upload a sample xlf with a clear writeup on what you are trying to do, with examples, and somebody may be able to suggest a workaround.

I noticed that on my bar chart, when I change the thickness from 1 to 17, the bar thickness grows, but any value from 18 to 100 does not add the thickness. And if you have additional series, the bars drop considerably in thickness and even though there is room to grow in chart, it is impossible to expand that thickness.

I wish this was more configurable.

Similar question here,

I’ve just started using Xcelsius 2008…I designed 4 basic charts on my dashboard.
Is there a way to zoom in to a chart, let’s say…I have 4 charts in 4 quadrants…and if i want one of my charts to grow & display on the whole page, overlaying the other 3?

I’m not referring to rescaling…the chart.what i mean here is…I want the chart itself & the axis to grow as if one big chart was placed on the page.

Is there a way to do it?

Thanks

hey!

thanks , I see you’re using dynamic visibility…I did think of that. But i was wondering if there was an in-built option in Xcelsius to just zoom into a chart when required., I believe there was somethin like that in Xcelsius designer 4.5…not sure though!

thanks a lot for your example though.

According to my knowledge there is no functionality in xcelsius.
you can’t zoom that much bigger.

if you get any solutions please let me know.

Thanks.

I have this problem with a horizontal bar graph - I can’t make the bars any thicker than 18.

I also have a lot of white space between the top of the chart and the top bar, and between the bottom of the bar and the bottom of the chart. This leads me to believe that the problem is in the configuration of the chart and not necessarily a limitation of Xcelsius.

Any ideas are most appreciated.

Hi,

I am trying to change the width of the bars in my bar chart. I changed the “Marker Size” on the Appearance → Series tab from 1 to 40 to 100 to whatever and it stays the same skinny width.

I have closed Xcelsius and re-opened. I only have two series in my chart.

I have other bar charts in the same file and the width is perfect at “Marker Size” = 40, but I cannot change the width in this one particular chart.

Is there another setting that affects this? :hb:

THANKS
