How to avoid comma in a detail Object

A detailed Objects is mapped as number in the universe. When this detailed object (Group-id) is used in the report it always displays a comma when the values are more than 1000 (eg 9,888). This crreates some problems when we pass the information. Is there a way in the universe to make sure it always shows as 9888 and not 9,888.

Have you tried formating the object, in the universe?

This will only apply to new reports or ones that you amend, removing the object and re-adding it to the query panel…

Formatting the object in the universe doesn’t work? or is this a variable built in the report as a detail object?

Mak 1 you obviously don’t have enough work to do

Is the data truly a number or is it a number in a text field?

If it’s a number, then formatting the object in the universe is the way to fix it. You can also format the object in the report to remove the comma.

If it’s a text field, you can create a variable and use the Replace function to get rid of the comma.
