As many as you want, but you need to be able to see it to use it effectively.

Aye, but that wasn`t the question, there is literally no real limit apart from memory.

Also, you don`t need to be able to see an object to use it, have you never done conditional suppression and object stacking, or hidden subreports, or invisible objects used as placeholders?

Bit of a pointless question in the first place to be honest…I wouldn`t worry about such limits.

You are correct Andy, but I was coming from the perspective of the user - if they are requesting that many fields to be placed on a report to use - real estate is tight and that would need to be explained to the end user that they would not be able to see all the fields unless exported out.
