How do you remove a rule that thinks it's still bound?

I have rules that are no longer in use. The problem is that the developers have tried removing objects from their rules in the wrong manner. So the rules still think they are bound to the tables.

You can actually see the rules binds under the result tab in the workspace area. But when you go into the rule tab and click on the rule you get an error box that shows a 1 or 2 or 3. The count goes up every time you try to rebind them. To try and get them to show up, so you can delete the bind.

I’ve tried every trick I know to get rid of these. I’m now looking into the IS repository at the GUIDs for each of the offending rules. The problem is that the rule GUID is all over the place. I was thinking I could just find the rule ID and delete it from the IS repository. I think that might cause more issues.

This is also posted on the SAP community with no response yet. There are screen shots and attachments in that post.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
