Hiding Breaking footer

Can someone please advise on how to hide break footer when there is only one detail row associated with it? Need to show break footer if there is more than 1 detail row.

I have done this in the past by creating an alerter that would remove the footer if there is only one row.

Thanks for your reply. I tried using alerters but did not work. Its creating a blank row. How to delete/hide that?

What version is that on? Do you mean removing the footer completely or just hiding it?

Only this topic is at odds with what you’re suggesting:

It is on XI 3.1. I need to hide the footer row when there is only one associated detail row. If there is more than one detail row then need to show footer. I tried applying a filter on subtotal footer row but did not work. Its hiding even the detail row.

You can’t delete it, you can only hide it. With the alerter you can shrink the row height so it’s very small, but it will still be there.

What you’re looking for is a conditional break. Deski had conditional breaks but they weren’t dynamic, they had to be specified ahead of time. As far as I know, Web Intelligence does not offer a conditional break.

By conditional break I mean creating a break based on some condition… like the number of rows being > 1 or = 1.

Please give me the steps or screen shots to shrink the rows using alerters. I do not find anywhere in the alerters.

Thanks,
