has anyone seen this?

Ok, in Webi 2.51 I run a query, get 2 numerics back in the format #.##, but in the universe it is defined as an integer…

This occurs in ActiveX, but using the Full Java Applet it works correctly… is there a trick I am missing?

Any help would be appreciated,

Brent

Brent,

I have seen this happening on multiple occasions. Out of experience I found it more stable to create reports with the full Java applet rather than using the ActiveX component.

Just my thoughts…

I am starting to agree, but I want to make sure I am not missing something silly like a bad version of a control, a setting in designer, etc.

Hate to give up the ‘perfect printing’ feature of ActiveX, tho…

No you are not seeing things you are correct in using the full java vs the ActiveX panel. This panel has been brought up the business objects during the beta of 2.5 and they agreed it needs some work but couldn’t have been done for this release.

They need to make the settings tab better and include the “Sending to Server” message that appears with the JAVA applet. The combination of the Java and IE makes for nice editing.
