Hardware Sizing

Hi All,

We have the below setup in our organisation. We need your advice of what should we choose for large deployment of BUsiness Objects Full client reports (EITHER WINDOWS / UNIX). Below is our setup and requirement.

The current environment is: 

  •    BO 5.1.8 and Infoviwe 2.7 on Dual Intel 3.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM server with Microsoft Windows 2000 server SP4 

  •    370 Business Objects full client documents to be used through  
   Infoview.

  •   Server should serve over[b] 690 user which will go upto 2000 users[/b] 

  •    Average logged users is 207 and the average active users is 100

  •    100% of the users will process BUSINESSOBJECTS documents

Suggestions what would be my hardware sizing for Windows and UNIX.

There’s a good one for XIr1 on the BO support site. Of course, as FC users it doesn’t address your needs directly, but it does give a very good picture of the new XI architecture’s needs.
