It will be my first ASUG event since joining at the Dallas GBN conference.
Doesn’t look like there will be much BOBJ content on the agenda, but it is a good place to meet classic-SAP users who might need BOBJ services in the future.
Good facilities and food at the SAP offices on Yonge/401 in Toronto.
20+ attendees over the day mostly running SAP-HR as the morning session was about providing year-end tax information to employees using SAP-HR.
Nothing related to BOBJ / CRYSTAL content, but a lot of interest from the SAP users on improving reporting from SAP.
Was it worthwhile vs the old Crystal/BOBJ user group meetings…?
Yes, but only to give me a chance to wrap my head around some of the SAP modules that were discussed - and to start some networking with SAP clients in the Greater Toronto Area.
If my clients had no interest in the broader SAP tools - it would have been a write-off.
All ASUG Chapters are tasked with offering BusinessObjects content (in any data environment) in 2010. And, they will need help finding content. Let me know if you’d like to get in touch with the local Toronto leadership.
