Getting error in each of the services: "Current" Expected" you must restart the server for changes to take effect

Hi,

We recently setup a sandbox environment in AWS cloud. BO Version, BI 4.3 sp4 patch 10.

We are a clustered environment:(Windows 2022)
2 tomcat servers, load balanced
2 app servers

When we go into the CMC and look at our service’s we are getting these messages in red (not all servers).

“Current” Expected" you must restart the server for changes to take effect.

Steps we have taken:

  1. Stopped SIA
  2. Rebooted server
  3. Started SIA - Everything looked good
  4. Stopped SIA
  5. Started SIA - Same behavior the red error message came back.

We have a ticket opened with SAP, but no resolution yet. From SAP we have tried

  1. Recreating the SIA
  2. Added the Ip address, server name, fully qualified domain in the host file.

We are still getting the same message.

Has anyone encountered this type of message?

Thanks,
Rufina

You definitely want to do this if you have a clustered environment. Make sure you include the app servers, web servers, file servers (if you file store is on a shared server), and even the database servers (this was recommended to us by Support, no documentation). We do this in all of our environments.

Also, in the Common Settings of each server, change the Host Identifier to be the physical or vm that that the server is running on using a fully qualified domain name format.

This would be formatted server.domain.com.

We had some trouble initially with BI4.3sp4 patch 5 on Windows 2022 but were finally able to get it stabilized with these options.

Thank you for your response. I tried your suggestions and i still get the same message.
