When I refresh a DeskI report, with prompts, in Infoview I receive a “GetLov failed” error when the prompt window tries to come up. This happens for only one report, the other reports run fine. We did find that if we re-exported the report it would run a few times but then the error occurs again. Has anyone else faced this error? It has only occurred since we migrated from 6.5 to XI R2.
We’ve recently had the same problem: GetLov failed (8004374E). It is on a report migrated from 6.5.1 to XIr2. We are running CHF15 (looking at sp2 soon).
I’ll post back as soon as we get an answer.
So Far,
The error only occured for us, for a non-admin account. When the same user logged on [to Infoview] as an admin the report ran.
Since the LOV is at the Universe level we checked the rights on the Universe and realised it had been exported to a TEST directory and not the usual PROD one. The rights on the TEST directory for Non-admin accounts was No-Access.
Exporting (with move) the Universe to the PROD directory has fixed this - so far.
so (for us) it was insufficient rights on the Universe for the account experiencing the error.
I faced a similar problem yesterday. Created a new report in XIR2 and exported it to repository. While it worked fine on my PC and also for a couple of other users, the person for whom the report was developed was receiving a GetLov Failed error.
I moved the universe from a development folder to production as one posting suggested. That didn’t work.
Then i noticed that the Everyone Group had Access Level: Inherited Rights for the particular Universe. I changed this to Full Control. It now works.
I’m interested in digging in further to see which specific right controls prompts and LOV.
I am having two different issues with Get LOV failed
Both Admin and Non Admin Accounts: When I refresh a DeskI report from Info view using both Admin and non Admin account I get an error GetLov Failed. Note this is for reports from one particular universe only
Non Admin Accounts: I had a similar problem with Get LOV failed in Xi 3.0 for non admin accounts, I changed the everyone group to ‘view on Demand’ it all worked fine.
Hi,
I am also getting exact same problem (issue 1).I did try deleting Universe copy from CMC and reexporting ,but it is not working.
Any solution is appreciated.
Thanks
We are experiencing this issue as well. Happens both from admin and non-admin accounts. Have tried re-exporting the universes multiple times which did not resolve the issue.
We are running a BO XI 3.0 cluster in PRD. We have found that by shutting down all but one DesktopIntelligenceProcessing server in the cluster we can isolate that the report works properly on some servers in the cluster but other servers issue the “GetLov” error. I am curious whether others are seeing this issue in non-cluster environments as well.
I am getting this error for the first time since I have upgraded from BO XI 2.3 to 5. . “GetLov failed(8004374E) within Infoview” I have just upgraded from BO XI 2.3 to 5. My path for my cache server path within CMC is as following: D:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Data\
My path for the job server is as following: D:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Data\procSched\usolwalvm046.Desktop_IntelligenceJobServer
Are these too long? If so what could I change these too?
