Hi, when I try to export to SEF, nothing happens. Preview is fine and I can export to a PPT. Any ideas why that might happen, please?

This is a weird bug. When this happens, try clicking on any object on the canvas, then try again.
I have no idea what the root cause is, but I have to do this frequently.

Yes, I have encountered this over the years. I believe this happens when the application has been open for several hours. Anyway, the solution that always works for me is to just export it as html. This produces both the swf file and the HTML pointer, so you still get your swf.
You could also close and reopen the application, and that will clear up the issue for a while, but of course that takes time.

The bug does not seem to be time related. I have opened a dashboard just wanting to create the .swf and took me a while to figure out I had to click on the canvas to get it to work.

Yeah, it seems to happen when altering the mapping between one or more objects and the cells they reference. I often experience it when I am changing formulas in cells. You may experience it when the last thing you did was delete an object. As far as I can tell, it has something to do with where the focus ends up when you alter or delete the canvas object that currently has focus.
And, of course, it’s not consistent. Because that might be useful.
At least the workaround is trivially simple, once you know what it is.
