I’am discovering SAP BI 4.3 and i’am looking for free hand SQL. In 4.2, it was very clear beacause you have 'Select data source/Free-hand SQL. But right now i’am unable to find where is it.

I would guess the permissions are just not set appropriately for you to select free-hand SQL as a data source.
From within the Central Management Console, go to Users and Groups, right-click on a group, and choose Customization…
Then navigate to the Data Source section on the Features tab…
Be sure that “Free-hand SQL” is checked. Here is my corresponding Data Source options look like when creating a new Web Intelligence report with the settings above.
