Free Hand SQL Connection Password Maintainance

After a search for related topics I could not find a solution hence this post again.
We are using Deski XIR3 and all our reports(30-40) are DESKI created with Free Hand SQL. I understand its not a good practice, but for now, this is what we have. So, I hope to find an answer to the immediate present.

The the measures for SOX compliance brought up the issue of password change for every 90 days. Due to the whole Change Management process(SOX compliance) changing the password and refreshing each report in Production will be a two week process.

I am curious to know if anyone handles this in an automated fashion.

Your comments for solving the issue with the current set up will be much appreciated.

I’d like to reiterate that moving to Universe approach is not in the immediate future, I promise to lobby for it, but the solution I am seeking is for the current set up.

Hi,
What database you are on?

Does it take this time much time just to refresh these reports?

How frequently the reports are refreshed?

One option available is to send the users to change the connection details from their once it is changed on a specific day.

From the database side you can set one alerter or something similar to is to send the email once the password is changed.
