fOX PRO DATABASE CONNECTIVITY

HI ALL:

CAN WE CONNECT FOX PRO DATABASE TO D.I.
WE HAVE SOME DATA WHICH IS IN FOXPRO DATABASE, WE WANT TO EXTRACT SOME OF THE TABLES FROM THAT FOXPRO DATABASE, WHICH WILL BE EVENTUALLY CLEANSED, AND WILL BE MAPPED INTO MS SQL SERVER DATABASE FOR REPORTING PURPOSE.

I believe you need to use ODBC to do this.

Hi,
I am on a project where we are trying to do something similar. We would like BODI to connect to a FoxPro database to extract and cleanse data before loading it into MS SQL server tables. Can BODI connect to Foxpro using ODBC? Or does this require any special connectivity software to be installed? Has anyone connected to FoxPro successfully? If so, what version of BODI were you using?

The answer may depend on what platform your job server is running (Win vs. unix etc.). Even on Windows, I believe Microsoft has dropped Foxpro support from later releases of MDAC/ODBC, so this may be a challenge.

Thanks for the information, we are intending to use a Windows Job Server. I will try to contact BODI support to clarify potential issues we may have.
