what happened to forumtopics.org? The other day I clicked on a search result in google and just got a parked domain result.

If I recall correctly, forumtopics.org was never associated with BOB. Someone else set that up, and apparently hasn’t maintained it.

could this be a security issue? was it just re-routing? for which purpose would someone do this? grab passwords?

I suppose it could have been a security issue. I never paid it any attention.
