Formula

[Editor’s Note: Had no subject – gave it subject “Formula”]

Ryszard,

You need to make your Formula Contextual and all will be solved. If you ever select a cell in BO and then hover your pointer over the Formula Bar, you will see the context that the formula is calculated against. If you make the variable contextual, then it will not matter where you move the cell, it will keep the same value.

You most likely need to use something along the lines of: =sum() in

This will sum all of the ACCTs for each DOC Break. If you need to make it a summary of the Subset, you would add the second in… =sum() in (, )

-rm

I have set DOC as the first master (and made it print each sectgion on a
new
page) and SUB as the second master to have:

What I need now is to sum by ACC from both SUB sections for every DOC section:

ACC AMT
qwe 3
asd 11
zxc 9

Can you explain again clearly

sasikumarm,

I suggest that you notice that on many of these posts, the “Author” is “Listserv Archives” and the dates are in 1998. These were questions that were posted on the old AOL Listserve before BOB went live on 8/15/2002, and now comprise almost 25,000 threads here on BOB.

The historical postings were imported into BOB so that old information would be available in searches. However, in some cases, people changed topics in replies, so old questions and followup could have been orphaned, might not be in the same BOB thread. This question may be one such orphan.

So, I suggest that you look at the post to see if it’s ancient history – if so, the questioner either got an answer that is available in another thread, or may have moved on.
