formatting problem

Hi,

I am trying to format the column in the BO 4.1 reports.

Column name : CY MTD Qty V%

column type : character

V% = This Year - Last Year / Last Year
If Last Year = 0, V% = 0%

vpercent(sum(table1.CY_MTD_SALE_QTY), sum(table1…PY_MTD_SALE_QTY))

The function V% is such that if any negative number is the result, then it will return ‘F’.

The query is running perfetly fine when run in SQL separately. But when it is run in BIO reports, The values for this column is returning the results as below.

0.00.00.00.00.00.00…
F.FF.FF0.FF.FF.FF…
FF.FF.FF.FF.F.FF…
and so on.

this happens when i select dimension objects from two different sub classes. these subclasses are however under the same class. When I select the objects (related to V%) from one subclass only then this problem does not arise.

Please suggest the solution.
thx.

Hi All,

I have a problem with formatting. My report contains a table in which i display the transactions for all customers. I should have a break (or section) on customer name and start each customer on a new page. Each customer can have many pages of data.

Now I want to display Customer Name in the bottom of all thepages. How do I do that? I cannot display it in Page Footer, because report is run for many Customers. We tried “= In CurrentPage” construct, which does not work in page footer.

I can display it in a cell below the Table and repeat it in every page, but Table will overlap on the cell. If I make “Vertical Position Relative To” property as “2 units below First table” for the cell, then the cell will be displayed only once after displaying all the transactions for each customer.

I cannot display it in Break Footer because that will display the Customer Name only at the end of each customer data. I want it in every page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Looks very simple, but I couldn’t do it.

Thanks
Vasan

Are you running version 5.x? If so, you can probably use the “Page Footer Before Page Break” option. I think that’s what it is called.

Click on your table. Use Format + Table from the menu. Select the second tab of the dialog box that comes up. There you will see the feature I am talking about.

Note: you will only see this special footer in “Page Layout” or Print Preview mode. You can only (as far as I know) edit this footer in View Structure mode.

Hope this helps.

Dave

I tried this, but it doesn’t work in the last page for a customer. Let me explain: For a break value if we have 5 pages of data, “Page Footer Before Page Break” does not appear in the 5th page. Let’s say we can get it on in the last page by enabling Footer for my break. Now if the 5th page of partial page page, which occupies only half of my page, then my footer will appear in the center of my page, whichc is not acceptable. My user wants to see the footer only at bottom left corner of all the pages.

Any more ideas?

Thanks
Vasan

For some reason BO won’t let me resize any of my fields in the header/foote= r of the page to my liking. I generally have the field spam the entire = page and use centering so that it centers nicely but for some reason ONLY = on this report BO won’t let me resize my left side past the first 1/3 of = the page. Basically I can’t get any of the fields to line up to the right = hand page marker. I took a movie capture of it which is located here = since its hard to explain http://reports.powerquest.com/keshian/funfun.avi.=
If you look at the structure there is nothing there “blocking” it = either. Thoughts? Tried rebooting and all that jazz too.

Me…

Have you tried taking off the ‘center cell across page’ then size it, then put the centering back on?..
