Fonts in WebI

Hi all,

We’re experiencing a strange one with WebI 2.5.1/BO 5.0.1. If we take a full client document and send it to users, then log in to WebI as one of the users and view it, sometimes the fonts display really large, and as a result, the text in each cell gets cut off at the bottom of the cell.

I found resolution #3347 in the knowledge base describing this problem, which suggests syncing the printer drivers between the client machine and the WebI server machine. This suggestion didn’t help, however: Even if we are on the WebI server machine and launch the full client and send the document from there, the problem still occurs. Certainly the printer driver is the same in this test! This is also what Brent was talking about a couple of weeks ago - installing an HP printer driver and making it the default printer. I did that, and it didn’t seem to help at all.

The other suggestion was to turn on the option “Print As BusinessObjects 4.1” under Tools\Options on the client machine. This helped a bit: Before trying this, the problem occurred all the time; now it only occurs seemingly randomly, about half of the time. Also before trying this, the problem always occurred when publishing a document as a Corporate Document; now when we publish a document as a Corporate Document, the document always displays correctly in WebI.

Another twist: If I take the Corporate Document, which displays correctly, and send it to another user from within WebI, the problem sometimes occurs (with the same 50/50 randomness). If I save it as a Personal Document, it always displays correctly.

So, has anyone wrestled this one down before? Are there any other things to try beyond what the knowledge base resolution article describes?

Thanks,

Paul Brown
