How to implement in BO XI R2 on windows 2003 server and IIS web server?

I am also breking my head to configure firewall between app tier and webtier.

While Installing use command netstat -an from comnad line to see which ports are communicating from localmachine to foreign comupter. Make note of all ports and request network guys to open for you.

If you see any syc_sent means that port should be open.

You only have to open a few ports to get BusinessObjects to work properly through a firewall. The following ports must be open, 1. CMS port, 2. CMS Request Port, 3. Input FRS Request Port, 4. Web Server/Domain port.

How do you know or find out what the ports are. Do you do the netstat from the server?
