Finding the Joins of a table

Hi All,

Is there a easy way to find how many joins are involved for a particular table? In other words, to how many tables a particular table is joined. The universe that I have involves lot of joins and tables. Hard to find out the Joins. I am interested in one single table.

Thanks…

Hi,

Maybe the universe documenting utility could help you with this?

Maybe not a direct help but perhaps the result of the utility is more readable than looking at the structure pane in Designer.

Open your universe.
Activate “list mode”
Scroll down the list of tables and single-click the one of interest
Click the tiny triangle button on the border between tables and joins, it will filter the list of joins to only those related to the selected table

Awesome Dave! Very useful. Proves that you have used Designer a lot  . Ofcourse you are … but once again…

Thanks…
