File Repository Server Input is Down Error Message

Hi all,

I am facing a issue while importing any universe.
through one of the Client machine, using Designer I am logging to the Server. Its showing proper Folder Structure for the Universes stored in Server.
But when I am trying to Import any Universe Its giving me below Error.

File Repository Server Input is Down.
Could not import the Universe.

I already checked my CMS. all the Servers are up & Running fine.
I already tried restarting my Input File Repository Server & Output File Repository Server, but still its giving me the same Error.
Please provide any other possible solution for this.

Check the path of FRS and its temp directory. If both are same by mistake , could result in such errors…!!!

Hi Arun,

I have checked the location on Server.
Tmp directory & IFRS Location are distinct.

TMP Directory : {Mount point} / bobje / tmp
IFRS Directory : {Mount point} / bobje / data / IFRS

If by mistake Iam informing you the wrong path. Please guide me how to check the Correct one.

Generally Temp directory will be found in 2 places
One for Input in > DefaultInput FRSDir/temp
Other for optput in > DefaultOutputFRSDir/temp

Recommend you to check this …

Which version are you using ?

Hi Arun,

Thanks a lot for your response.

We are using BOXI 3.1.

Actually this problem occurred after we change the IP of Server.
Earlier the Envoirnment was working fine.
Few Days back, its IP got change. Host name is still the same.

We are able to Login through Infoview & CMS. Reports are also running fine. We are just unable to import & Export the Universes through Designer. Its giving below error:

File Repository Server Input is Down.
Could not import the Universe.
