Failure to connect to the BI Platform in BI Dashboard

In Dashboard in 4.0 version, While Adding a new query in the query browser, I am facing this error -

“Failed to connect to the BI Platform. If this error keeps occuring then refer to the SAP Note 1668437 for troubleshooting”
I am attaching the error screenshot.

The System contains Excel 2010.Please suggest some solution to resolve the same.

My standard question: Which exact patch level are you on?
The latest and greatest is: SP4 with patch 9 or SP5 with patch 2.

I have the same issue. We are at SP4 Patch 6, and have been stable for several months.

Hi.
I got the same message in BI Dashboard.
This change fixed it:

Navigate to the Central Management Console (CMC)
Select Applications
Open the Web Service application properties
Correct the Access URL as follows:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/dswsbobje
Click Save & Close
Navigate back to the Dashboards application
Attempt to add a query via the Query Browser
Notice the error no longer appears

Hi,

I am facing the same issue after upgrading to SP4 patch6. Have anybody got a workaround to sort this out ?

That worked for us. Just make sure the updated URL is:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/dswsbobje

NOT:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/dswsbobje/

this is not working for us either. sp4. dashboard 4

any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

In our case, our port number was 7001 instead of 8080 cause we are using Weblogic. Other than that, what I mentioned in the previous post solved our issue.

I created a unx-universe and this shows. unv-universes cannot be used in DashBoards ?
