Failed to start Print Engine

I am working on a desktop installation of Crystal Reports XI. I am connecting to a db on a server - that has always worked and still does. I am now, however, trying to use dynamic parameters for the first time. Everything seemed to go well until I tried to run it. I got this:

Prompting failed with the following error message: “List of Values failure: fail to get values. [Cause of error: Failed to start print engine.]”

Any ideas on what I didn’t do?

Thanks.

I still haven’t resolved this… Anyone have an idea??

Hi, and welcome to B:mrgreen:B. You only get this when trying to use dynamic parameters? Are you connected to a repository, i.e. an enterprise environment?

Yes, only with the dynamic parameters. No, we are not in an enterprise environment. We simply grab reports from a shared directory. The DB that we link to is on a server however.

Thank you for your reply. Being new to Bob, I was a little concerned, but it was the holiday weekend so bad timing on my part :frowning:

Are you on the latest service pack? Are any of your colleagues experiencing the same issue?

My version is 11.0.0.895 - not sure if this is the latest or not.
I have not tried it on anyone else’s computer. I am the first to use 11. I am to see if I can get these parameters working, and if I can then upgrade the others.
