Failed to load database information.

Hell Guys,

Good day.

Seeking your help to check my issue:

Error in File /app/bobjer2/bobje/data/procSched/stxsvbob001.reportjobserver/~tmpdd0c683d796239916.rpt: Failed to load database information.

So I have crystal report connected to SQL database 2005. Fine running on the locally. Then when I published the report in Infoview. I’ve got the error above.

We are using Business Objects XI R2. Another question is, how can I configure the SQL drivers in Infoview or CMC.

Thanks in advance.

Glenn

Are you using an ODBC? Is that ODBC configured on the server (32-bit)? What we have done in the past is have a copy of Crystal Report designer on the server and make sure the report runs from the server.

Hello Kevlray,

Thanks for the response.

How do we configure ODBC in CMC?

It has been a while since I used R2, but I think BI 4.0 is similar. Right click on a report. Choose Database Configuration. It should already know what ODBC(s) you are using for the report. Then is is just a matter of setting the user name and password for the data sources. I believe there is an option box (now a drop down in 4.0) to select Same database logon as when report is run. Then click update. FYI: If you update the report this setting will be lost unless when you right click on the report and choose Refresh Options and de-select Default database logon information.

I hope this helps.

Hi

I am also getting the same error ‘Failed to load database information’ in BO 4.1 Below are the environment details. please help.

As you suggested above, is it necessary to create ODBC source?

RedHat Linux server 6.2
Crystal reports 2013 SP 4 client
SAP Business Objects 4.1 SP4
Oracle 11g 64 bit

Please help…

An ODBC will need to be set up on the server. 32 bit for CR 2011, not sure about 2013.
