Extraction from PSA

Hi folks

I want to extract the data from PSA - the volumes are hint and loading to the DSO also takes time.

I was wondering what is the best way to do it.

I was thinking of having a view on top of the PSA

I am aware that PSA name will change in each system and we need to create the view in each system.

We are not able to plug the DS directly to R/3 extractor as that system is not at the right level and upgrade is one year away.

any suggestions on how I Can speed my extraction once the data lands in PSA.

We have talked with SAP and we are at optimized level for all the settings.

I was trying to see if extraction at Oracle level is permitted, based on the sticky post , it was clearly visible that SAP does not suggests to do that. If I go with ABAP view will there be any issues ? Will this be better then loading a DSO and then extracting from DSO.

The DSO load takes lot of time, and we want to see how best we can avoid it.

I would likely use ABAP dataflows to read the ABAP PSA table as you said.
