Hi,
I am migrating full client reports from BO 5.1.9 to XI R2SP2, the problem am facing is, getting an extra space in between the cell and Table in the migrated report(Section wise), where there was no space in 5.1.9. This space causing increase in page count also. I have attached the screenshot.

Have you tried relatively postioning the table using Format/Table/Appearance?

yes, i tried. Except in the first page remaining all pages contains spacing issue.

Are the pages on seperate report tabs?
If so you would have to set the relative position of the tables on each tab.

No tabs in the report.

You might need to position each report block relative to the one above

The relative position of the table and other cells in the report were proper, BO V5 report works fine, after migration also the settings in the DeskI were same, but when comes to display extra space was coming.
In the first page it was fine, but from second page onwards this spacing issue was there. I have checked Page setup,Headers, footers etc, everything was same in both versions.
May be sections causing this problem, but not sure!
