Extensive description of Functions (Number etc)

Hi ,

This might sound a little childish, but is there any documentation that extensively descibes the use of different functions (mainly the ones used in statistical analysis) found under the Number function. (Create an object --> Select --> Function --> Number)

Some functions for eg. REG_AVGX() , COVAR_SAMP are very useful for our requirements but unfortunately, I am not sure that I will be using them correctly.

I would recommend the documentation for the database itself (online at the internet site for the database), or a good third party book (consider Shop@BOB for such a purchase). BusObj is just making those functions available for use, so you won’t find much detail in any BusObj documentation.

But do you know if the books posted on Shop@BOB covers detailed information about new functions eg PERCENTILE etc . I checked the indexes for the books but none of then specifically gives any indication that this information is available . Would you know if it is ?

Those are database functions, not BusinessObjects functions. Which database are you using?

There is an Oracle reference book already in Shop@BOB. Other books can easily be added they would help.
