extending XML map import range

Hi,

have a dashboard set up with 4 different XML maps as data sources. These were set up by importing the XML maps into Excel & then the excel workbook being imported into Xcelsius.

The client has made changes to these & now requires them to be extended in size (extra rows added)

If I extend the size of the range within Xcelsius (by dragging the bottom right corner), then on data connection Xcelsius does not import anything beyond the original range.

If I go back to the original excel file with the XML maps & extend the ranges there and then re-import back into Xcelsius then I get a 2032 error message (which not related to cross-domain policy, or otherwise - as doesn’t come up with original XML/Excel).

:hb:

Please can someone explain how I can expand the ranges. Surely this is possible…?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

I'm getting the same error as well. Were you able resolve this error.

Thanks

Hi,

unfortunately I can’t remember how I overcame the 2032 data error message (possibly by changing/refreshing the connection details in data connection window?) - but regarding the XML size & increase in rows/columns:- make sure you build in extra space in your XML map import area in Excel before importing into Xcelsius. By clicking on the bottom right corner & dragging the little cross that appears so that empty rows/columns take on the familiar table formatting.

Hope that helps!

thanks JIM for the reply. I’m not having the problems with the data range of Excel XML Maps

I’m sorry for not posting my problem correctly. my question is

I’m using Excel XML Maps for my dashboard and it ran fine on http:// server and it bringing me all the data with out any issues. The dashboard is deployed on different portal(built using .Net). When we changed from http:// to https:// the dashboard throws an Error #2032 Excel XML maps error and doesn’t retrieve data.

This happens on Win XP IE 8and randomly works fine on Win XP- Firefox11. Also, works fine on Win 7 IE.

Adding the cross domain policy did not solve the issue. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
